Where do I find the VIN?
- Windshield: look through the glass at the bottom corner on the driver’s side.
- Door jamb: open the driver’s door; it’s on the sticker on the pillar.
- Paperwork: it’s printed on the title, the registration card and your insurance card.

Frequently asked
Which report type should I choose?
We offer two full history reports from different data sources. One is strongest on service and maintenance records, the other on auction and title data. Before you pay, we show how many records each has for your VIN, so pick the one with more, or get both.
What if my VIN has no records?
We check for free before you pay. If a report type has no records, you can't buy it, so you're never charged for an empty report. If a report fails for any reason after payment, your credit is returned automatically.
How do credits work?
Credits are prepaid reports. Buy a pack (bigger packs cost less per report), then each report uses its credits instantly with no checkout. Credits don't expire.
How can I pay?
With PayPal: use your PayPal balance, or pay by debit or credit card through PayPal without an account.
Can I get the report as a PDF or send it by e-mail?
Yes. Every report has a PDF button, and the Email button sends the report with the PDF attached to any address you choose.
Where can I find my old reports?
All your reports stay in History. Search by VIN or filter by date and type, then View or download the PDF any time.
